STEP INTO THE MIND OF A GENIUS: Leonardo Da Vinci Comes Alive in South Florida

How would you like to be transported back to the Italian Renaissance through the eyes of one of the greatest artists, scientist and creative geniuses in history? South Florida PBS is ready to take you there.

You won’t need a spaceship or a passport. As a matter of fact, this time travel can be easily accomplished by going to their new South Florida PBS studio in Boynton Beach.

There you will be immersed in the most astounding multi-sen-sory multi-media journey that will take you through the life and passion of Leonardo da Vinci.

“Da Vinci – An Immersive Art Experience” is accomplished through groundbreaking technology that includes surround sound, Graphic Projections and Virtual Reality. It’s as if you are seeing the world through this mastermind of greatness from all angles.

And you are.

This is accomplished with 80 million real pixels, 50km of cabling and over 350,000 projected lights. The visual feast illuminates the work of da Vinci while intoxicating your senses with sound and artistic reverie.

This immersive educational experience is coming to South Florida PBS studios from Amsterdam and is guaranteed to open your mind (and your eyes) to the greatness of da Vinci from all angles.

It showcases over 50 of da Vinci’s most important works, including The Madonna Litta, Virgin of the Rocks, The Baptism of Christ, his ornithopter, and more.

The Audio-Visual Storytelling includes a 360-degree immersion that graciously inspires visitors to experience the contemporary world through da Vinci’s eyes.

That is the reason why South Florida PBS will be its exclusive host this November.

“We are thrilled to bring “Da Vinci – An Immersive Art Experience” to South Florida PBS Studios. This extraordinary exhibit offers our community a unique opportunity to experience the brilliance of Leonardo da Vinci in a way never seen. By combining cutting-edge technology with historical artistry, we’re not just showcasing da Vinci’s work – we’re inviting our audience to step into his ingenious mind.

This immersive journey aligns perfectly with our mission to educate, inspire, and entertain. We believe it will captivate visitors of all ages, fostering a deeper appreciation for art, science, and innovation,” said Dolores Fernandez Alonso, President and CEO of South Florida PBS.

The “Da Vinci – An Immersive Art Experience” exhibit is guaranteed to be a transformative experience for art lovers, history buffs, and curious minds.

It also aligns with South Florida PBS’s mission of experiential learning, making it an excellent educational opportunity for children and teens. Admission is free for children 12 and under (up to 5 years of age) making it an affordable family outing

What makes Leonardo da Vinci so significant is that this Renaissance man of the arts seamlessly combined science, technology, engineering and mathematics into creation of all levels.

His innovations and inventions continue to inspire and amaze us centuries later.

That is why this exhibit is the perfect opportunity for students to explore art, science, engineering and history in an integrated way, much like da Vinci did. One thing that da Vinci didn’t get to do was use a QR code to chat with the Mona Lisa by way of Artificial Intelligence.

With state-of-the-art technology this interactive experience brings stroboscopic lighting and sound to reverberate around the room. The artwork comes alive by using QR codes that allow you to immerse yourself in a breathtaking 360-degree soundscape.

The show is divided into Leonardo’s work as a painter, inventor, scientist and astronomer, while demonstrating his universal genius. And what is genius without discovery?

That’s why this adventure of creativity allows visitors to move freely around to discover the changing scenes for themselves.

With the help of tracking technologies, visitors can interact with elements of the show and become part of the production. The live generated content, interactive spatial design and augmented reality, with sound created exclusively for Da Vinci: Genius, will ensure a unique audio-visual experience.

Don’t miss a chance to experience the brilliance of this Renaissance Master by way of an awe-inspiring sensory awakening.

If da Vinci were alive today, even he would be over the moon with excitement. This painter, inventor, scientist and astronomer saw possibility where others saw a blank canvas. His creativity and inquisitiveness were all part of his universal genius.

Now you can experience this genius as well.
