A Little Wyld in downtown Delray Beach is more than a children’s boutique: it’s a colorful world where fashion meets imagination
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, it’s a destination for stylish little ones, moms, and special finds.
Longtime friends and creative entrepreneurs Amanda Perna and Skye Dyer founded the boutique through a shared love of fashion, creativity, and motherhood.
“We wanted to create the kind of store we loved shopping in as moms. Somewhere you could find special pieces, discover new brands, and enjoy the experience of shopping with your children,” says Amanda.
Reflecting the founders’ complementary styles, the assortment includes everyday essentials, statement outfits, and Mommy & Me looks from independent designers and international labels.
Favorites include Rylee + Cru, Molo, Lola and the Boys, and Jellycat, alongside an expanding tween selection featuring Katie J.
“We’re constantly searching for brands that feel fresh, exciting, and a little unexpected,” says Amanda. “Quality is incredibly important to us, but we also believe children’s fashion should be fun. Kids should be able to express themselves through what they wear.”
Personal service includes remembering customers, finding outfits and thoughtful gifts, complimentary gift wrapping, personalized styling, and curbside pick-up—all designed for families.
“We’ve always wanted A Little Wyld to feel welcoming, joyful, and personal,” says Skye.
Children’s events, community celebrations, and philanthropic lemonade stands bring families together, supporting the Delray Beach Historical Society, Habitat for Humanity, and the Achievement Centers for Children & Families.
Amanda brings more than two decades of fashion design experience, having worked with Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klein, appeared twice on Project Runway, and founded her own fashion label, The House of Perna.
Skye’s style reflects years as an international jazz vocalist, boutique work, and styling for friends and family.
Next, Amanda and Skye plan to introduce designers, expand online shopping, and connect with more families.
“Delray Beach has this wonderful mix of locals, seasonal residents, and visitors,” says Amanda. “We’re excited to grow our online presence so our customers can shop with us wherever life takes them.”
Watching customers’ families grow alongside the business has been especially meaningful.
“Some of the babies we dressed when we first opened are now picking out their own outfits!” says Amanda. “We dreamed of creating a place where families felt welcome and seeing that little dream become part of so many families’ lives means everything to us.”
“Owning this store for the past five years has brought me the greatest joy,” adds Skye. “I love the community we’ve built, both in person and online. What a gift to be creative every day and share it with everyone.”
Both founders credit their dedicated team and loyal customers for making the journey possible.
