For Bryan DeFrances, Managing Director – Investments, building and maintaining trust is the most important part of financial advising. With a passion for helping families, business owners, widows, divorcees or institutions meet their financial goals, he works with Wells Fargo Advisors in their Palm Beach office to provide each client with the resources needed to help achieve their success.
As part of Wells Fargo Advisors, Bryan DeFrances and his team offer a wide array of services, including estate planning, customized investment solutions, philanthropic, and business succession planning. DeFrances holds the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation, which has helped him in working with divorced and widowed women specifically. He also works with business owners and families.
DeFrances has been in the financial advising business for 32 years. He left J.P. Morgan and joined Wells Fargo Advisors over five years ago. Having worked at various firms throughout his career he and his team have found the people and resources within Wells Fargo Advisors a perfect fit for his clients. “Our client’s needs are first and foremost the main priority and, earning and maintaining their trust is why most of our business comes from referrals. It’s not just about the investments but the relationship in its totality and ensuring the legacy of a family is carried on forever.”
According to DeFrances, he has around 60 client relationships, which is by design. He wants to ensure proper attention is given to each relationship. He doesn’t believe in the volume of clients but the quality and the care he and his team can dedicate to each family. “We want to be able to devote enough of our energy, time and utilize the resources of the Firm needed to service them properly. I don’t want to stretch myself too thin to where I can’t do an adequate job of meeting the expectations and the servicing levels that are needed for the type of client we serve,” DeFrances said. “We want to be proactive and not reactive with our clientele. It’s easy to speak with your clients when markets are good but it’s often when we see volatility that our clients need to hear from us the most and that’s when we do our best.”

DeFrances and his team welcome the opportunity to speak or meet with potential new clients. “We interview a potential new client just as much as they are seeing if we are a good fit for them. We wish to make sure their expectations of how they work with a financial advisor are something we can deliver on or are a good fit for our practice.”
“Trust is, without doubt, one of the most important things within our business,” DeFrances said.
