The Nautius III, being such a beautiful yacht, sets them apart and is French-built, and Italian designed. They offer three luxurious staterooms, flat-screen TVs, and 2 bathrooms. David and his wife Robin have chartered the yacht for various groups such as engagement and Bachelorette parties, visitors staying at local hotels, and local couples and families looking for a unique experience. “Some guests get really into it and decorate for their special event, while others grab a bottle of wine and relax. Everyone hops off the boat with big smiles,” said David.
“Most charter requests are for 4 to 6 hours spent on the Intra-coastal Waterway. Some clients cruise for a few hours and then pop into a restaurant for lunch or dinner. We had a lovely boat ride for a few hours with champagne that ended in an engagement, and there were many birthday celebrations and pre-wedding cruises. Couples and families wanting to spend a day at Boca Lake and cruising around. It really is a magical day when you spend it on a yacht. I like to keep the charters to around 8 guests,” added David.
David has a passion for boating. Growing up on boats since he was 13 years old, with his stepfather in the Navy, David has a wealth of experience navigating the water. “My stepfather threw me behind the wheel of a 90ft yacht and said we are going to park this; he taught me everything about boats.”
When David, who is a biochemist and CEO of Biointelli of Cam-bridge Massachusetts, and Robin decided to buy a home in Delray Beach, they didn’t want to just retire.
“We were talking about a retirement business, and I thought, why don’t we supplement our passion for boating and share our love for the water with other people? Whenever we invited friends and family out, they wanted to go on the yacht. We like to share our experiences with others. I love being on the water, and this enables me to share my enthusiasm with others and turn my passion into a part-time business,” said David, “And it took off. We keep the yacht immaculate and in top shape. We make it very professional.”
