Atlantic Ave Magazine is delighted to present our inaugural issue for 2026. As we step into the new year, we are inspired by the Chinese Zodiac, which just happens to be the Year of the Fire Horse. It symbolises energy, passion and opportunity and represents leadership, new opportunities, taking initiative, reinvention and motivation. All sounds positive to me, so let’s run with the Fire Horse for our New Years resolutions. Out with the old, in with the bold! It’s a time for new projects, embracing change with resilience, driven by fiery determination, courage and zeal.
With the festive season behind us and daily routines gradually returning, I am personally embarking on a journey of self-reshuffling. After weeks of overindulgence, I am determined to cleanse my body and detoxify my mind. For January, I am prioritizing self-care—an approach that may seem a touch self-centred but is essential for de-stressing and recharging. Guided by the dynamic energy of the Fire Horse, my goal is to rediscover motivation and well-being.
It is often said that yoga benefits both body and mind, so I have set my sights on Coco Market at 51 N Swinton Ave on 4th January. There, I will participate in complimentary yoga sessions led by experienced movement instructors. The event also offers a variety of workshops, activities, and nourishing food and drink options. I am looking forward to embracing a healthier lifestyle and cultivating a clear mind as I begin the new year.
As always, we want you to delve into our January issue and learn all that is happening in our beautiful city. Eclectic bars, restaurants and shopping. Festivals, markets, galleries, the Arts and more.
You will also learn about some of the most giving, caring and generous people that work tirelessly for the good of others. Their unwavering dedication and selflessness make a lasting impact on our community, shaping a brighter and more compassionate future for all.
