2025 Delray Beach Open Serves Up One for the Record Books!

Tournament Featured Rare Double Win, Sold Out Events & Experiences and Unmatched Attendance.

The Delray Beach Open (www.DelrayBeachOpen.com) has unquestionably solidified itself as one of the most anticipated events of the year. The top-tier tournament has become both a must-attend event for fans of world-class tennis and one of the most premier culinary and social events of the season, drawing foodies and socialites from far beyond the Sunshine State. Celebrating its 33rd year and 27th in Delray Beach, the 2025 Delray Beach Open featured a rare double win and had more sold-out special events and sought-after experiences than ever. The 10-day event, which was held Feb. 7-16, 2025 at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center on Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach, saw unprecedented turnout. Over 50,000 fans attended the event onsite, while millions of viewers watched the tournament on TV from more than 135 countries around the globe.

Delray Beach Open fans were treated to a rare double when Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic took home the championship trophies in both singles and doubles. He is only the fourth player in the history of the event to win both titles in the same year. And he did it in dramatic fashion, saving two match points against him when trailing 2-5 in the deciding set against Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina to give the packed crowd a thrilling final. Just a few hours later, Kecmanovic and first-time partner Brandon Nakashima of the US then stopped the 7-match win streak of Americans Christian Harrison and Evan King to win the doubles title.

Top seed Taylor Fritz’s bid for a historic three-peat at the Delray Beach Open was stopped short by Davidovich Fokina in the quarterfinals, 7-6, 7-6. Earlier in the week, the tournament tied records with four seeded players making it into the semifinals, seven seeds in the quarterfinals and nine Americans reaching the second round.

The Delray Beach Open always hits it out of the park with world-class tennis, but just as important is the tournament’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the local community. Opening weekend of the Delray Beach Open included USTA Florida Kids Day where local children and their families were invited to win prizes and participate in tennis games and open play onsite at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center. Additionally, the tournament featured a Food Drive on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, sponsored by Your South Florida BMW Centers, in which a donation of 10 non-perishable food items earned fans a free seat for the day’s tennis session. Proceeds benefitted KOP Mentoring Network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to character-building, mentorship, and gang prevention program in local youth. The tournament also recognized teachers, military, first responders and seniors with discounts and complimentary tickets throughout the tournament.

Off the court, the 2025 Delray Beach Open Food & Wine Series (DBOFWS) was an extraordinary success with an expanded lineup of culinary events that sold out across the board. This year’s DBOFWS featured an array of tasting events, luncheons, brunches, and cocktail receptions, showcasing over 40 of South Florida’s premier restaurants, food purveyors, and spirit partners. Official partners of the DBOFWS included Official Craft Brewery – American Icon Brewery’s Match Point Blonde Ale, Official Winery – Raeburn Winery, Official Spritz – Aperol Spritz, and Official Sparkling Water – LaCroix. New events for the 2025 DBOFWS included a ‘Grand Tasting’ as well as the addition of ‘Valentine’s & Volleys,’ a DBO first in celebrating the holiday of love that continually falls upon the tournament’s schedule. These events joined the 2nd Annual Burgers, Bourbon & Brew, and 3rd Annual Tacos, Tequila & Tennis, both of which have become instant successes alongside fan-favorite Game, Set, Pour.

The DBOFWS officially kicked off with the 17th Annual Chamber Bash on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, which was presented by Baptist Health and sponsored by BlueIvy Communications and Carlton Fields. The DBO’s first-ever Valentine’s Day special event, Valentine’s & Volleys offered couples and guests alike a romantic evening featuring gourmet Italian dishes paired with fine wines from Raeburn Winery, Aperol Spritz cocktails and beer from American Icon Brewery. Championship Brunches returned, featuring an upscale brunch complete with an omelet station, waffle iron, charcuterie table, raw bar, sushi, gourmet salad bar, bottomless Bloody Mary’s and mimosas, and much more. New for this year, guests were able to experience the Hospital-ity Center’s endless beverages, desserts and coffee with the ability to leave and re-enter at any time until the completion of the brunch in the early afternoon.

Finally, the 6th annual Game, Set, Pour – billed as the ‘Ultimate Pair-ing event’ – served up an array of sampling from some of the best beer, wine, spirits and food from local restaurants and bars around South Florida. After the votes were tallied for the best pairing, Funky Bud-dha and Death by Pizza were the winners.
