Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man
BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
The year has flown by, and we are about to jump into 2025! Do you realize a quarter of a century will have passed since we left behind 1999!…. How has this even happened? I remember waking up on January 1st, 2000, wondering if the whole world’s computer systems would have crashed and if we were Y2K compliant??… I was a little naïve back then…LOL
Remember when cell phones were just becoming popular, and the Internet was dial-up, and the telephone couldn’t be used while being online? Fast-forward 25 years and you can stream a movie, scroll through social media on your iPad, and talk to your friends on your cell phone all at the same time! Technology and social media are moving at a fast pace.
Here in Delray Beach, we still have some traditions that keep us moving at a slower pace and enjoying the ‘here and now.’ These include the lighting of the 100-foot Christmas Tree, the Boynton/Delray Holiday Boat Parade, the Delray Beach Holiday Parade, the Christmas Eve Celebration, and the Menorah Lighting. Add to this the amount of caring and giving that happens here because of the wonderful people of Delray Beach and surrounding areas. It’s an awesome thing to experience, even in today’s world where you can donate online!
As our City Person Adrianne Kulman says, “If everyone would give back a little bit, the world would be a better place.” Her words are spot on! Adrianne doesn’t tend to work at a slower pace, as expressed by her partner (and founder) of True Floridian Realty, Noelle McIntrye. “Adrianne is a force of nature, a powerhouse of passion, heart and unwavering dedication. Her resilience, as fierce as a Category 5 Hurricane, empowers her to tirelessly support her community, clients, friends, family and countless FurBabies. To know Adrianne is to love her.” Read on to find out more.
