Welcome to the New and Improved Seagate

The Seagate has undergone a spectacular transformation, emerging with a fresh, modern look that combines timeless elegance with contemporary luxury. Located in the heart of Delray Beach, this beloved establishment has been open since 2009, and its recent renovations take it to new heights, setting a new standard for luxury stays in the area.

The Delray Beach hotel has been a staple in the community since 2009 and the Beach Club since the 1930s. The Seagate has recently unveiled its extensive, multi-million-dollar property-wide renovation, featuring significant enhancements to its lobby, 157 guestrooms and suites, event spaces, pool, Beach Club, and restaurants. These renovations, led by Brooklyn-based interior design firm Watts & Dray, mark the first major upgrades to the iconic Delray Beach property since its opening.

The project’s new tagline, “Every stay is a story worth sharing!”, sets the tone for an experience that is both luxurious and inviting. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a special event, the hotel now offers a refined yet comfortable atmosphere for guests.

The Seagate is situated on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach and a frisbee’s toss from the Atlantic Ocean. Guests of The Seagate can now enjoy world-class amenities, including an 8,000-square-foot Spa designed for peaceful rejuvenation, a private beach with cock-tail service, and access to both The Seagate Beach Club and The Seagate Golf Club.

Inspiration for the redesign combines the Anglo-Caribbean de-sign styles and architecture that are classic to the Delray Beach region, along with the old-world grace and warmth of Florida’s traditional coastal homes. To bring this concept to fruition, Watts & Dray selected a project palette of sand colored limewash paint with accents of Dutch blue and utilized hand-painted delft tiles shipped from Amsterdam to add intricate, unique detailing.

“Our vision for the reimagined Seagate was to create spaces that were structural, charming, worldly, and art-filled while being functional and comfortable for guests,” said Vanessa Watts, Partner at Watts & Dray. “To achieve this design concept, we carefully selected world-class vendors to partner with to create custom and handcrafted accents and art pieces throughout the property. This approach allowed us to work with small vendors to create one-of-a-kind elements to elevate every corner of the resort.”

To add character and comfort to the guest rooms and lobby, Watts & Dray worked with Indiewalls to curate art pieces that embraced the coastal charm of the new resort and partnered with famed de-signer Marc Phillips to create luxury, hand-made accent rugs.

“The Seagate has been a beloved staple in Delray Beach for more than a decade, and it was important to our team that the new re-design spoke to the vibrant culture, history and setting of our cherished community,” said Alex Schnoeller, Managing Director of The Seagate. “We’re grateful to Watts & Dray and its partners for creating luxurious spaces that are immersive and warm for the comfort and enjoyment of our members, guests, and locals.”

“We modernized everything and wanted the rooms to feel more residential and homey. The Seagate has renovated the property but still prides itself for offering excellent customer service,” said Jas-mine Fisch, Marketing Manager at The Seagate.

The Seagate Beach Club also renovated its two-story, 250-seat, 3,500-square-foot oceanfront clubhouse. The renovation project includes architectural and interior design updates by New York’s Dash Design. The Seagate interiors embrace the Colonial style of the building with classic design elements that emphasize an airy and artful look, according to Dash Design. The main entrance is wrapped in a chic soft blue that opens to spectacular ocean views. The first floor, which encompasses 1,650 square feet of indoor dining space and a 1,907-square-foot terrace, includes a renovation of the dining area, cocktail bar, and staircase painted with rich cream, blue, and tan hues. The second floor, which encompasses 1,714 square feet of indoor dining and an 860-square foot terrace, serves as a dining and bar lounge with serene sage and olive-green color palettes, both architecturally and in the furnishings.

“The Seagate Beach Club has a storied history in Delray Beach, creating memories for locals and visitors alike, and we are so excited to unveil the new clubhouse,” said Alex Schnoeller, Managing Director of The Seagate.

The Seagate recently completed a renovation of its 18-hole championship golf course, led by renowned architect J. Drew Rogers. The upgrades included the addition of reshaped bunkers, expansive new green complexes, practice facilities, and enhanced water hazards among beautiful tree-lined fairways, all crafted to challenge the most experienced of golfers. The Golf Club has also undergone major renovations.

When you are looking for the perfect setting for your Wedding Day Nuptials you will struggle to find a more ideal venue than the exceptionally renovated Seagate Beach Club or Seagate Golf Club.

Locals and visitors can enjoy the hotel’s unique restaurants. The Gate Café offers fresh salads, paninis, muffins and coffee. Venetian Street has Italian-inspired cuisine, fun cocktails with a twist, and is open for lunch and dinner.

The property is also expected to open Bourbon Steak Delray Beach by Michelin Star Chef Michael Mina in early 2025. The 6,000-square foot, 310-seat Bourbon Steak will include a 34-seat bar, patio seating and two private dining rooms with a combined capacity of 24 (12 each) and offer an elevated food and beverage experience.

The Bourbon Steak restaurant will be the first in Palm Beach County for Mina, the James Beard Award-winning chef and founder of the Mina Group. In addition to the newest Bourbon Steak opening at the JW Essex House in New York, other Mina restaurant locations include the rooftop of JW Marriott in Nashville, Miami, Charleston, L.A., Las Vegas, Dubai, Hawaii, and more. Their in-house butcher individually prepares each steak slow-poached in beef and butter. There are a lot of tableside presentations, and instead of bread service they offer a trio of fries, and unique cuisine and cocktail options.

Come and experience the new Seagate and enjoy Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart.
